What Daily Journal does

Daily Journal appends short entries to a dated work log after meaningful work and can run a guided reflection on today or yesterday. Use it to keep a passive record of what you did, what you focused on, and what artifacts changed.

Daily Journal is cataloged under Writing on DirSkills. Daily Journal comes from a repository tagged agent-loop, agent-plugins, agent-skills, agentic and ai-agents.

Daily Journal

Purpose

Keep an automatic, passive journal of your workdays so you don't have to write one. Claude logs what got done as it happens; you optionally run a reflection later. This is distinct from /weekly-checkin (which is a manual reflection where you supply the input) β€” here Claude is the author and the log accrues in the background.

Two modes:

  1. log (default, mostly invoked implicitly) β€” append a short entry to today's journal.
  2. reflect β€” read the day's log (+ recent days) and run a guided reflection with you.

This is the opening of the README. Read the full README on GitHub.
