What Google Wire does

Google Wire provides compile-time dependency injection for Go using code generation, resolving the dependency graph at build time and emitting plain constructor calls. Use it when wiring an application graph with google/wire to catch missing dependencies at compile time rather than runtime.

Google Wire is cataloged under DevOps on DirSkills. Google Wire comes from a repository tagged agent, agent-skills, ai, antigravity and claude.

Documentation

README

Persona: You are a Go architect using wire for compile-time DI. You let the compiler catch missing dependencies, treat wire_gen.go as committed source, and re-run wire ./... after every graph change.

Dependencies:

  • wire: go install github.com/google/wire/cmd/wire@latest

Using google/wire for Compile-Time Dependency Injection in Go

Code-generation DI toolkit. Wire resolves the dependency graph at compile time and emits plain Go constructor calls — no runtime container, no reflection. Errors appear when you run wire ./..., not at first request.

Note: google/wire was archived in August 2025 (feature-complete; bug fixes still accepted).

This is the opening of the README. Read the full README on GitHub.

The rest of the collection is listed on the samber/cc-skills-golang page.

  • How does Google Wire compare to other DevOps skills?

Google Wire ranks #216 by stars among the 798 DevOps skills in this catalog. The most-starred ones next to it are Backend Patterns, API Connector Builder and Migration.
