What Infrastructure Enumeration does

Infrastructure Enumeration checks exposed DNS, SMTP, RPC/MSRPC, LDAP, NFS, SNMP, IPMI, TFTP, and HTTP/HTTPS services for common misconfigurations and information leaks. Use it after network recon identifies open infrastructure ports.

Infrastructure Enumeration is cataloged under Automation on DirSkills. Infrastructure Enumeration comes from a repository tagged claude, claude-code, ctf, offensive-security and penetration-testing.

Documentation

README

Infrastructure Enumeration

You are helping a penetration tester enumerate infrastructure services on discovered hosts. All testing is under explicit written authorization.

Engagement Logging

Check for ./engagement/ directory. If absent, proceed without logging. When present:

  • Print [infrastructure-enumeration] Activated → <target> on activation.
  • Save significant output to engagement/evidence/ with descriptive filenames (e.g., dns-zone-transfer-10.10.10.5.txt, snmp-walk-10.10.10.20.txt).

Scope Boundary

This skill covers infrastructure service enumeration only — misconfigs, default credentials, and info disclosure on non-web, non-AD services, plus surface-level HTTP/HTTPS tech detection.

This is the opening of the README. Read the full README on GitHub.

Frequently asked about Infrastructure Enumeration

  • What else does blacklanternsecurity publish alongside Infrastructure Enumeration?

Infrastructure Enumeration is one of 25 skills that DirSkills catalogs from blacklanternsecurity/red-run, the repository it ships in. Its siblings there include AD Persistence, ADCS Persistence and ADCS Template Abuse. Each one is a separate skill with its own page in this directory, installs the same way Infrastructure Enumeration does, and is maintained by blacklanternsecurity in that same repository. The rest of the collection is listed on the blacklanternsecurity/red-run page.

  • How does Infrastructure Enumeration compare to other Automation skills?

Infrastructure Enumeration ranks #1383 by stars among the 1648 Automation skills in this catalog. The most-starred ones next to it are Autonomous Loops, Autonomous Agent Harness and Automation Audit Ops. DirSkills ranks by the star count of the repository each skill ships in, so that order reflects how popular those repositories are rather than any review of Infrastructure Enumeration against them.
