What Low-Power Embedded does

Low-Power Embedded guides MCU sleep, stop, and standby setup, plus clock gating and wake-up source configuration. Use it when reducing firmware current draw or debugging wake-from-sleep behavior.

Low-Power Embedded is cataloged under DevOps on DirSkills. Low-Power Embedded comes from a repository tagged ai-agent-skills, build-systems, c-cpp-toolchain, compilers and cross-compilation.

Documentation

README

Low-Power Embedded

Purpose

Guide agents through MCU low-power modes: sleep vs deep sleep (stop/standby), peripheral and bus clock gating, wake-up source configuration, and practical current measurement — with Cortex-M WFI/WFE and vendor PWR examples (STM32-focused patterns apply broadly).

When to Use

  • Battery-powered firmware missing power budget
  • Wake-up latency vs consumption tradeoffs
  • Debugging "device won't wake" or "current still mA in sleep"
  • Before shipping RTOS idle hook or bare-metal main loop sleep
  • Cross-linking with skills/baremetal/interrupts-and-exceptions-baremetal

Workflow

1. Power mode hierarchy (STM32-style)

Frequently asked about Low-Power Embedded

  • What else does mohitmishra786 publish alongside Low-Power Embedded?

Low-Power Embedded is one of 25 skills that DirSkills catalogs from mohitmishra786/low-level-dev-skills, the repository it ships in. Its siblings there include ADC And DAC Bare Metal, AF XDP and Bare-Metal Startup. Each one is a separate skill with its own page in this directory, installs the same way Low-Power Embedded does, and is maintained by mohitmishra786 in that same repository. The rest of the collection is listed on the mohitmishra786/low-level-dev-skills page.

  • How does Low-Power Embedded compare to other DevOps skills?

Low-Power Embedded ranks #898 by stars among the 973 DevOps skills in this catalog. The most-starred ones next to it are Backend Patterns, API Connector Builder and Migration. DirSkills ranks by the star count of the repository each skill ships in, so that order reflects how popular those repositories are rather than any review of Low-Power Embedded against them. Open each page to compare what they document and how they install.
