What Organize Files does

Organize Files restructures shared notes in research/ and experiments/, deduplicates related pages, and refreshes the index and links. Use it when the notes tree gets hard to navigate or has overlapping content.

Organize Files is cataloged under Automation on DirSkills. Organize Files comes from a repository tagged agent-framework, agent-orchestration, agentic-ai, ai-agents and alpha-evolve.

Documentation

README

Organize Files

Restructure the shared notes directory so every agent can find what they need quickly.

For a complete before/after walkthrough on a realistic messy notes/ tree β€” including the dedup pass, naming fixes, subdirectory creation, link repair, and audit-log entry β€” see references/worked-example.md. Read it once before your first reorganization; it makes the abstract steps below concrete.

For recovery procedures and judgment calls (move script aborted partway, false-positive duplicates, files that look misplaced in _synthesis/, contradicting _open-questions.md, races between agents…), see references/edge-cases.md.

When to Use

This is the opening of the README. Read the full README on GitHub.

Frequently asked about Organize Files

  • What else does Human-Agent-Society publish alongside Organize Files?

Organize Files is one of 12 skills that DirSkills catalogs from Human-Agent-Society/CORAL, the repository it ships in. Its siblings there include CORAL Quickstart, Coral Debug and Coral Extend. Each one is a separate skill with its own page in this directory, installs the same way Organize Files does, and is maintained by Human-Agent-Society in that same repository. The rest of the collection is listed on the Human-Agent-Society/CORAL page.

  • How does Organize Files compare to other Automation skills?

Organize Files ranks #916 by stars among the 1523 Automation skills in this catalog. The most-starred ones next to it are Autonomous Loops, Autonomous Agent Harness and Automation Audit Ops. DirSkills ranks by the star count of the repository each skill ships in, so that order reflects how popular those repositories are rather than any review of Organize Files against them. Open each page to compare what they document and how they install.
