What Safety Analysis Manager does

Safety Analysis Manager creates, populates, and reviews safety analysis spreadsheets and fault trees in MATLAB. Use it for FMEA, FHA, HARA, HAZOP, FTA, and related Safety Analysis Manager documents.

Safety Analysis Manager is cataloged under Quality on DirSkills. Safety Analysis Manager comes from a repository tagged agent-skills, claude-code, codex-plugin, engineering-agents and github-copilot.

README

Safety Analysis Manager

Use evaluate_matlab_code with the safetyAnalysisMgr package to create, populate, query, and export safety analysis documents. Requires Simulink Fault Analyzer (R2023b+).

Version enforcement: APIs are annotated with the MATLAB release they were introduced. Do NOT use an API unless the user's MATLAB release is equal to or newer than the annotated version. If the user's release is unknown, assume R2023b and restrict to R2023b APIs only until confirmed. Check the reference files for per-API version annotations.

Safety Analysis Manager supports two document formats:

  • Spreadsheets — tabular, row-based analysis (FMEA, FHA, HARA, HAZOP, custom)
  • Trees — hierarchical, node-based analysis (Fault Tree Analysis, Attack Trees)

Frequently asked about Safety Analysis Manager

  • What else does matlab publish alongside Safety Analysis Manager?

Safety Analysis Manager is one of 24 skills that DirSkills catalogs from matlab/simulink-agentic-toolkit, the repository it ships in. Its siblings there include Author Input Signals, Author Model Advisor Checks and Building Architecture Models. Each one is a separate skill with its own page in this directory, installs the same way Safety Analysis Manager does, and is maintained by matlab in that same repository. The rest of the collection is listed on the matlab/simulink-agentic-toolkit page.

  • How does Safety Analysis Manager compare to other Quality skills?

Safety Analysis Manager ranks #870 by stars among the 1354 Quality skills in this catalog. The most-starred ones next to it are Benchmark, Benchmark Optimization Loop and API Design Patterns. DirSkills ranks by the star count of the repository each skill ships in, so that order reflects how popular those repositories are rather than any review of Safety Analysis Manager against them. Open each page to compare what they document and how they install.
