What Worldbuilding does

Worldbuilding helps manage a fiction encyclopedia of characters, settings, themes, factions, and lore. Use it to auto-stub new entities, link related entries, and flag internal inconsistencies in the world.

Worldbuilding is cataloged under Writing on DirSkills. Worldbuilding comes from a repository tagged 2nd-brain, agent-skills, claude, codex and company-brain.

Documentation

README

Worldbuilding pack β€” how to work here

This project is a fiction encyclopedia. The graph is the product: characters, settings, themes, factions, and lore that link to each other. The agent's main jobs are auto-stubbing new entities as they're mentioned and flagging contradictions. This skill holds those behaviors so templates and folder descriptions stay clean.

This skill is pack guidance. The platform /open-knowledge skill (read/write/preview/linking/grounding rules) still governs every markdown operation β€” this layers the worldbuilding conventions on top.

Frequently asked about Worldbuilding

  • What else does inkeep publish alongside Worldbuilding?

Worldbuilding is one of 18 skills that DirSkills catalogs from inkeep/open-knowledge, the repository it ships in. Its siblings there include Codebase Wiki, Consolidate Notes and Frame a Proposal. The rest of the collection is listed on the inkeep/open-knowledge page.

  • How does Worldbuilding compare to other Writing skills?

Worldbuilding ranks #189 by stars among the 1012 Writing skills in this catalog. The most-starred ones next to it are Article Writing, Social Media Content Calendar and Knowledge Comic Creator. DirSkills ranks by the star count of the repository each skill ships in, so that order reflects how popular those repositories are rather than any review of Worldbuilding against them.
